Greenspring Surgery Center Chooses Blue Chip to Drive Growth

Blue Chip Surgical Center Partners is pleased to announce it has established a new partnership with Greenspring Surgery Center located in Baltimore, Maryland. The plan calls for the addition of three spine surgeons to join the current orthopedic and pain surgeon ownership group.

Koman, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, who serves as President of Greenspring Surgery Center. "This is a perfect match. We are confident that Blue Chip's contracting and negotiation skills and relationships with the major payers in Maryland will help us grow our business and provide outstanding care to even more patients."

The 6,300-square foot facility opened in January 2007 and has one operating room and two procedure rooms. Currently, it handles a range of orthopedic surgical treatments, including knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow and wrist arthroscopic procedures; ligament repair and reconstruction; shoulder impingement treatment; fracture care and carpal tunnel. Additionally, Greenspring Surgery Center handles pain management procedures including facet joint injections and epidural steroid injections.
