Blue Chip works closely with physician groups to tailor each business and development project to specific market needs and opportunities. Blue Chip will have the surgical center designed and built to meet the unique needs of the project. Leading surgery center architects, with years of experience and the benefit of many successful projects, design our facilities. Blue Chip solicits proposals from local builders who understand the community and, with the input of the physician partners, select a capable builder to construct the facility. We've developed profitable businesses around ASCs of various size and typical formats:
- 2-4 operating rooms and up to 2 procedure rooms
- 6,000 to 12,000 square feet
- Participation of 5-20 physicians
- Target case volume of 1,700-2,200 annually per OR
- Focused treatments (e.g., spine surgery and pain management) to diverse multi-specialty centers serving up to 10 types of specialists and clinicians – some with unique facility and equipment needs
- ASCs are purpose-built as freestanding buildings or constructed in an existing office building or on a hospital campus. We have built surgery centers in strip malls and shopping centers. In the end, physician partners have the final say as to the design and location of the facility.
Technology and Equipment
- We've helped our physician partners leverage advanced new technology and the latest equipment, as well as electronic medical records systems. Blue Chip understands how to evaluate the efficacy of new technology and properly balance the cost and benefits.
- Blue Chip encourages physicians to select excellent equipment, and then we negotiate attractive prices.
The bottom line is that we create facilities where surgeons can do their best and most rewarding work.
